The Nitty Gritty

  • To avoid being cakeless and disappointed, plan in advance. I bake everything from scratch, to order. Certain dates fill up quickly.
  • Custom wedding cake orders and dates are guaranteed with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% balance is due no later than two weeks prior to the event date. Deposits are non-refundable, as we may have turned away other customers’ orders as your date was “spoken for.”
  • Final prices depend on complexity of the cake’s design.
  • Delivery is $60.00 per hour, round-trip
  • For pick-up orders, I am not responsible for cakes once they have left my premises. That means, plan ahead! My cakes are made of real, premium ingredients, which means that if they are left in your car, while you are “just grabbing a bag of ice,” you can be sure the cake is melting to a gooey puddle. So sad. No one likes cake puddles. I’ll do my best to give you transporting tips and advice.
  • When I set up your cake at your event, I will work with you or your caterer to find the best home for your cake. I will leave your cake “sitting pretty”, ready for the fun to begin!!
  • Special dietary requests – do you have certain dietary restrictions? Just give me a call to chat about your needs. Chances are, I can accommodate them. Do keep in mind that I have a kitchen that works with nuts, gluten, eggs, and dairy products.
  • Kimmycakes ices cakes with Swiss Meringue Buttercream. It’s super creamy, light, and so good. I can (and do) eat it with a spoon. Occasionally, one of my friends requests a cake with American Buttercream. While I love Swiss Meringue, I can certainly do the latter if you so desire. There is no difference in price for substituting in American Buttercream.
